Dr. Sukant Das is a consultant Nephrologist and Renal transplant physician attached to AMRI Hospital, Bhubaneswar. His core areas of expertise include Kidney transplantation, Hemodialysis, CAPD, Critical Care Nephrology and Kidney Biopsy.

A Gold medallist in MD (Medicine) from King George’s Medical University (Lucknow), Dr. Das further accomplished his DM (Nephrology) from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Lucknow). His previous professional experience includes serving in some of the Bhubaneshwar’s reputed institutions such as Kalinga Hospital and Aditya Care Hospital. He has also essayed the role of a medical educator at IMS & SUM Hospital (Bhubaneswar) where he held the position of Associate Professor in Nephrology.

Dr. Das has played an active role in creating public awareness about kidney related issues through print and television media. He has spearheaded OPDS, health camps and CMEs in various parts of Odisha for promoting nephrology care and getting people acquainted about kidney diseases and kidney care issues. His primary goal is to practice evidence based Nephrology while acquiring continous updates in the field.

Dr. Das is available at AMRI Hospital from Monday to Saturday with an appointment. The hospital’s fully equipped dialysis unit employs skilled and competent dialysis technicians, nurses together with latest tools. It also follows the latest guidelines in renal transplantation and post transplant follow up. Besides this, Dr. Das is also professionally associated with Gastro and Kidney Care Hospital (Bhubaneswar) where he practises in the evening hours.
